Obsidian Smart History ("we", "our", or "the extension") respects your privacy. This extension is designed to run locally on your device and communicate with specific services only to perform its core functionality. We do not sell your data or collect it for advertising purposes.

2. Data Collection and Usage

Browsing Data (Tabs and History)

To provide context-aware summaries and save your browsing history to Obsidian, the extension accesses the title, URL, and content of the tabs you engage with.

• Permission used: tabs, <all_urls>
• How it's used: This data is accessed only when you trigger a backup or when the extension processes a closed tab (depending on your settings). It is used immediately to generate a summary and is then saved to your local Obsidian vault.

Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to save your settings (e.g., API keys, template preferences).

• Permission used: storage
• Protection: This data stays on your machine and is not synced to our servers.

3. Third-Party Services

Google Gemini API

To generate smart summaries of the webpages you visit, the extension sends the text content of those pages to the Google Gemini API.

• Data shared: Page text content.
• Purpose: Summarization and keyword extraction.
• Privacy: Data sent to the Gemini API is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and the Generative AI Terms of Service.

4. Data Retention

The extension does not maintain a copy of your browsing history on any external servers. The "History" you save is stored directly into your own Obsidian Vault application on your computer. You retain full ownership and control of this data.

Obsidian Smart History（以下「本拡張機能」）は、ユーザーのプライバシーを尊重します。本拡張機能は、ユーザーのデバイス上でローカルに動作し、主要な機能を提供するために必要な特定のサービスとのみ通信するように設計されています。広告目的でデータを収集・販売することはありません。

2. データの収集と利用

閲覧データ（タブと履歴）

文脈を考慮した要約を作成し、閲覧履歴をObsidianに保存するために、本拡張機能はユーザーがアクセスしたタブのタイトル、URL、および本文コンテンツにアクセスします。

• 利用する権限: tabs, <all_urls>
• 利用方法: このデータは、ユーザーがバックアップ操作を行った際、または閉じたタブを処理する際（設定による）にのみアクセスされます。データは要約生成のために即座に使用され、その後ユーザー自身のローカルObsidian保管庫に保存されます。

ローカルストレージ

設定情報（APIキー、テンプレート設定など）を保存するために、ブラウザのローカルストレージを使用します。

• 利用する権限: storage
• 保護: このデータはユーザーのPC内に留まり、開発者のサーバー等に送信されることはありません。

3. 第三者サービス

Google Gemini API

ウェブページのスマートな要約を生成するために、ページ内のテキストデータをGoogle Gemini APIに送信します。

• 共有されるデータ: ページのテキストコンテンツ。
• 目的: 要約およびキーワードの抽出。
• プライバシー: Gemini APIに送信されるデータは、GoogleのプライバシーポリシーおよびGenerative AI利用規約に従って処理されます。

4. データの保存

本拡張機能が外部サーバー上にユーザーの閲覧履歴のコピーを保持することはありません。保存された「履歴」は、お客様のコンピュータ上の Obsidian保管庫（Vault） に直接保存されます。このデータの所有権と管理権は完全にお客様にあります。
